United Way is a major funding organization that delivers ongoing support to social service agencies through its Community Fund, supporting a network of programs and services. The majority of these programs and services fall under our three focus areas; helping kids be all that they can be, building strong communities, and moving people from poverty to possibility. We support the social service sector in our community through training, funding and partnership building. The mission statement of United Way is to improve lives and build community by engaging individuals and mobilizing collective action. While we have expanded our territory and changed our name, our 100% local promise stays the same.
