Gem Electric Motor Service was established in 1936 and has become a well-known company in Northern Ontario. Gem Electric has been passed down through more than three generations and has continued to grow through the years. In 2004, Gem Electric was changed from a limited company to a corporation. At this time, three key members formed a partnership. Gem Electric was restructured into two divisions: Electrical Contracting and Motor Rewinding and Repairs. Our electrical division has been structured to accommodate all the needs of our clientele with residential, commercial, industrial and maintenance subdivisions. Our experienced team thrives on the everyday challenge of the construction and maintenance workplace while our reward is a job well done and a happy, loyal customer. We are an authorized depot for more than 36 companies, doing warranty work and repairs.
