Timmins Chiropractic Clinic (TCC) is a modern health clinic devoted to providing high-quality, evidence based health care to the city of Timmins and surrounding communities. Dr. Michael Popovic, a native of Timmins, Ontario has returned to the community after completing degrees at McMaster University, Hamilton and Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Toronto. Dr. Katie Fraser, originally from Merigomish, Nova Scotia, completed degrees at St. Francis Xavier University, Nova Scotia and Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Toronto. TCC?s interests lie in sports injury prevention, treatment and rehabilitation, chronic pain management, work place related injuries, motor vehicle accidents, geriatric care, and prenatal chiropractic care. TCC provides a comprehensive rehabilitation facility to our patients. Our rehabilitation includes; strengthening, stretching, motor reprogramming, core training, balance and proprioceptive training and sports/work specific exercise when indicated. Our clinic is certified in Active Release Technique ® and Graston Technique ® to effectively treat soft tissue injuries, including strains/sprains and tendonopathies. Dr. Popovic has received advanced certification in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture (McMaster University) and has completed the requirements to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)®. He has worked as a hockey trainer at The Skating Lab in Toronto and has developed specialized training programs for hockey athletes. These programs are implemented in the rehabilitation room at the clinic. Dr. Fraser has experience working with Worker?s Compensation at Canadian Back Institute for the purposes of providing safe and timely return to work for injured workers. Dr. Fraser?s interests include prenatal chiropractic care and she is working towards certification within this discipline. As new graduates, Dr. Fraser and Dr. Popovic have been exposed to the most recent evidence based literature and latest therapies in the chiropractic and medical profession.
